GÖCEK TOPAZ

One Roof Four Houses

Göcek, (Dalaman/Turkey) is a peaceful and pleasant village in the Aegean Sea, which is the gateway to wonderful unspoiled islands in the Mediterranean Sea. Göcek is also a prominent destination for yachtsman with its six marinas. Göcek is described by many visitors as a hidden paradise, with turquoise Mediterranean water, green pine forests. So every development has to take care to this sensitive location.

Under these aspects the project named TOPAZ is located in the bay Göcek and highlighted with sensitivity for its environment. With this philosophy 6 building each comprising of four individual houses under one roof were realized set amidst one of the most beautiful and unique natural bays of Göcek preserving picturesque garden structure which is dominated old pine trees. The buildings are placed around a kidney shaped swimming pool, which delivers a social meeting point for the inhabitants.

To break down the long façade and articulate the diversity of the natural topography ledges and retraces and a mix of natural materials are used. 45 small to big housing units are designed in this six building. The architectural design of the houses with large sliding windows and enormous terraces gives the inhabitants the feeling of being in a huge garden above the torques sea.

To top off the unpretentiously garden design harmonizes with the clear facades of the buildings.
